Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes in our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong leadership skills to drive production efficiency.

Job Description:

Twin Cities Packing is a small USDA processing facility located outside Beloit, WI and we exist to strengthen our local food and farm communities through providing custom poultry processing.

We are looking for a Production Manager to run day-to-day operations of the poultry processing plant. This is a year-round salaried position with annual objectives/bonuses. HACCP familiarity is not required but would be best.

Poultry Processing has 2 distinct seasons. Busy season runs from April-November and we operate 5 days a week. Right now we are staffing a 3 hr Saturday shift as well. Offseason runs from Dec-March and we operate 2-5 days a week depending on availability of work. A normal operating day runs from 6am-3pm.

A normal day would include: setting the production plan with team leads, crew management, ordering supplies and materials, customer receiving and pickup, USDA inspector coordination and ensuring a smooth operating shift overall.

The Production Manager directly reports to the owner. Marketing, financial and larger business aspects will not be a part of the job duties but the ideal manager will be included, and opinionated, on these matters.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Ability to create welcoming and customer service-oriented front-of-house

  • Have ability to diagnose and implement efficient production systems

  • Have great attention to detail

  • Have an efficiency and problem solving mindset

  • Be self-motivated to learn and grow their skill level

  • Be passionate about leading, growing and managing a team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer care, scheduling, receiving, pickup and invoicing

  • Overseeing all daily operational duties

  • Ordering supplies and materials

  • Equipment maintenance oversight

  • Quality control oversight and tracking

  • Team hiring, firing and training oversight

  • Responsibility to maintain a clean, safe and organized facility

  • Basic payroll duties (submitting hours etc)

  • Ensure existing productivity benchmarks are met and continually improved

  • Provide pertinent (daily/weekly) reports to owner
